Aggregating Cross-Channel Audiences - State of Industry

I thought I’d take some time in light of the recent announcements of Google and Yahoo! (APT) and share some thoughts I’ve had watching this all play out and partaking in this from both the buy & sell side.
The current state of the digital media industry for Google, Yahoo!, and many other smart companies is [...]

2008/9 Upfront Pricing Report

Jack Myers just released his analysis of the Upfront pricing.  For those involved in television this is essential.  For those of you who are involved in “online only,” you should be paying attention to this as the line is continuously blurring between online/offline.

As the advertising economy softens heads into the holiday season, and as 2009 [...]

Concert Art: Dave Matthews Band Style

It took lots of negotiating to make this happen, but I’ve convinced Sherri to let me professionally frame and hang some of my concert posters of The Dave Matthews Band in our living room.  This is the most used room in our home when guests come (the bar is second) and it’s only fitting to [...]

The Financial Markets & The Early Stage Scene

I was over at the Web2.0 Expo at the Javits Center this morning as I spoke about how to get advertising dollars for your startup.  The talk went very well (I think) and props to Nate and Michael for putting Web2Open together.
Before the presentation this morning, I spent some time with an investment banker friend [...]

Talk about Customer Service

Talk about open communications.  Not many CEO’s are available every day from 12-4pm PST to talk to whomever.  Marc, the CEO of Wesabe is.  I’m impressed but don’t know how sustainable this is as they grow.  Kudos for them now however.
