As usual most of your observations are right on. There is just one part of your post with which I did not agree.

The University of Phoenix and Rosetta Stone are poor examples of the power of online learning platforms. Rather they are good examples of the power of marketing online learning platforms. The power of online learning platforms (of which there are many technically superior to UPHX and Rosetta) lies in how teachers utilize software and web applications.
