Comscore: MySpace Is Biggest Site On ‘net
According to the latest numbers of Comscore, MySpace has surpassed Yahoo (combined) as the biggest site on the Internet. TechCrunch has a good scoop on this story here.
What I find interesting is that even though it’s the largest, it is not the highest trafficked. Users on MySpace have essentially created the site… whereas Yahoo! is a collection of data mostly pushed to viewers by algorithms and editors. Also take note that MySpace surpassed Yahoo as Yahoo! had a 9% drop in pageviews this month but this can easily be bolstered by a few smart acquisitions such as Facebook (smart or not, it’ll give them content and viewers and will reclaim #1).
My question though:Â is being #1 worth it?
